22nd Annual Leadership Program for Teenagers

The Leadership Oswego County Youth program was established in the hopes of empowering local young people on their journey to adulthood. Consistent in their commitment to that cause, the program is now approaching its 22nd run.

More than two decades ago, the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau established the Leadership Oswego County Youth program with the intention of equipping young people with vital professional skills.  This year, the program will look a little different than it has in the past.  But that’s only because the LOCY program will be hosted online this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Regardless of this slight change, program participants will still be introduced to curriculum focused on:

  • Leadership development
  • Public speaking
  • Team-building
  • Community awareness
  • Decision-making processes

LOCY is currently accepting applications!  Scot Rourke strongly recommends this program to any high school student in the Oswego County area who’s looking to get ahead of their peers early on into their career.
