The Student Organization Outreach and Involvement Experience (SOOIE) of the University of Arkansas is scheduled to host a virtual seminar with a focus on leadership development. Scot Rourke shares the details:
This semester, student-led organizations have been forced to adapt to a socially distant approach to hosting events. At the University of Arkansas, this has meant translating seminars into webinars. One of the first events slated for this semester is the Leadership Development Luncheon, which has been appropriately nicknamed ‘Back to Basics: Online Edition.’
The event is hosted by the Student Organization and Involvement Experience (SOOIE) and will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 3 PM to 4 PM via Zoom conference. SOOIE hopes that this leadership development luncheon will introduce students to new growth opportunities. Although the webinar will largely focus on individual leadership development, Back to Basics will also set emphasis on how student leaders can improve their Registered Student Organizations in ways that will enrich the University of Arkansas student experience.
