For generations, New York has welcomed innovators in an environment that embraces forward-thinking. With so many of the world’s largest corporations headquartered in the Big Apple, NYC has cemented itself as a hotspot for innovative leaders to launch their ideas.
But there’s more to New York than the city itself — especially for the agricultural and food production industries! Scot Rourke highlights LeadNY, a leadership development program seeking applications for leaders in natural resource sectors throughout New York state and the Northeast:
LeadNY, New York state’s premier leadership development program, is now accepting applications. Specifically, this round of the program is geared toward rising leaders in the food, agriculture and natural resources industries throughout the Northeastern United States.
Facilitated by Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, LeadNY is a training program that assists mid-career professionals in the process of launching their pioneering ideas. Applicants may choose between an intensive one or two year program. Topics approached in the programs include:
- Self-awareness
- Issues analysis
- Critical thinking
- Civic engagement
If you are a professional navigating the terrain of managing a startup or venture in the food, agriculture or natural resources sectors, Scot Rourke encourages you to apply to LeadNY! Applications are due by June 1, 2021 on the LeadNY official website. Good luck!
